Many sandstones can be seen in the garden. They are used both in front of the house and in front of the breakfast room.
This sandstone is local and recycled from old structures, some from an old railway tunnel. Although the stones have lost their functionality as load-bearing capacity, we still use them as decorations as a typical material of the region. The open joints and niches are also excellent places for insects such as the mason bee.
